On spring 2023 we got a change to start this adventure as a family – to move in Dubai. Our whole family is so excited about moving somewhere where the weather is basically always good. In Finland (which is our homeland) there aren’t that many sunny months in a year and the winters are cold. That is also the main reason why we wanted to move somewhere warm. Welcome to our adventure under the Dubai sun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What first?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Well, at first there were a lots of emotions; this is amazing, what about the kids, what if… After a while the main emotion were excitement and joy, but of course this big thing also scares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first thing that we did was to visit in Dubai before making any decisions. Because as wonderful as the city sounds we of course wanted to see the city before making any decisions of moving there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spent a long weekend in Dubai and we fell in love! Everywhere we went was just so clean, people were nice and everything was just working. We visited one school (and in Dubai there are many schools to choose) and we drove around our possible future community. We also had time to see the Dubai Aquarium. So much to do in such a short time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Making the decision about moving to Dubai wasn’t that hard at the end. One thing that we were worried about at first was that how our kids is going to take the moving in a whole different country? Is it fair for us to take them to totally different environment? And I think this is the one big questions that every parent is asking when this kind of decision is about to be made. I also hope that my blog is going to give some answers to all those parents who are thinking about to make this kind of decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we talked our kids about moving to Dubai and specially after visiting there they were just as excited as me and my husband and then the decision was just easy to make (well, as easy as this big decision can be).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So here we are, preparing to get rid of all our things in Finland and only taking with us the things that will fit in couple of suitcases. And of course we take our poodle with us, even though he doesn’t fit in a suitcase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
